Our Commitment
At Coastline Power And Lighting, we are committed to customer satisfaction. We understand that sometimes circumstances change, and we aim to handle refund requests fairly and promptly. This policy outlines our refund practices for various service scenarios.
Service Deposits
For most projects, a deposit is required to reserve your project start date and cover initial material ordering. Deposits are generally non-refundable if you cancel after work has begun or materials have been ordered. However, we understand that situations arise, and we evaluate each refund request on a case-by-case basis.
Cancellation Before Work Begins
If you cancel your project before work begins and before materials have been ordered, you may be entitled to a full refund of your deposit. If materials have been ordered but not yet installed, a partial refund may be available minus the cost of non-returnable materials and any labor already incurred.
Cancellation During Project
If you choose to cancel a project while work is in progress, refund eligibility depends on the completion percentage and materials purchased. We will provide a detailed accounting of work completed and materials used, and any refund will be prorated accordingly. Custom-ordered or specially fabricated items cannot be returned and will be deducted from any refund.
Dissatisfaction Concerns
If you're not satisfied with our work, we encourage you to contact us immediately. We're committed to making things right and will work with you to address any concerns. In many cases, we can provide additional services or adjustments at no extra cost to resolve dissatisfaction issues. Refund requests due to dissatisfaction will be evaluated after we've had the opportunity to address your concerns.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days of approval. Refunds are issued using the same payment method as the original transaction. You will receive confirmation via email once the refund has been processed. Please note that it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.
Dispute Resolution
If you believe a refund is warranted and we cannot reach an agreement, we encourage open communication to resolve the matter. We aim to handle all disputes professionally and fairly. For unresolved issues, you may contact the Michigan Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division.
